  • HKEx Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

    The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 9 November 2012 (Friday), 22 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 13 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 576 after the revision.

    The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announces the appointment of Mr Lee Kam Wing, Bruno and Mr Pan San Kong, Terry as a member and an alternate member respectively of the Investor Education Advisory Committee (IEAC) with effect from 1 November 2012. Mr Pan replaces Ms Lam Po Yee who stepped down from the committee on 16 October 2012. Mr Lee and Mr Pan represent the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association.
