NYSE Liffe U.S. Surpasses $1 Billion In BIC Trading Value - Delivers Greater Flexibility And Control In Accessing Block Liquidity In Mini MSCI Futures - Rapid Customer Adoption And Steady Growth Since Launch
NYSE Liffe U.S., the innovative U.S. futures exchange of NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced that it has surpassed $1 billion in notional value of Block Trades at Index Close or “BIC” trades. NYSE Liffe U.S. launched BIC trading in September 2011 as an innovative way to provide customers the ability to manage the tracking impact of executing large orders relative to the underlying index level by explicitly tying the transaction price to the closing level of the underlying index. Since that time, activity in BIC trades has steadily increased with $381 million transacted in mini MSCI EAFE Index futures and $263 million in mini MSCI Emerging Markets Index futures since March 1 alone.

SEC Charges Ox Trading, Optionsxpress, And Former CFO With Registration Violations
The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged a Chicago-based securities dealer affiliated with online brokerage firm optionsXpress with violating the registration provisions of the securities laws when it continued trading operations after delisting from the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and deregistering with the SEC, apparently to avoid an audit.

DTCC, EFETnet Launch Global Trade Repository For Commodities Derivatives
EFETnet B.V. and The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced today that, following their successful pilot program launched in January as the first global repository for OTC commodity swaps, they have begun accepting trade submissions from commodity market participants into the new Global Trade Repository for Commodities (GTRfC). DTCC and EFETnet’s industry governed low-cost model provides users the ability to submit trades to a single repository in order to fulfill reporting obligations to regulators globally.
