Aequitas Innovations Inc. (“Aequitas”) is pleased to be commencing its next implementation stage with the Ontario Securities Commission (“OSC”) publication of a Staff Notice relating to the Aequitas Proposal to build a new stock exchange in Canada. The OSC Staff Notice sets out OSC Staff views on current market structure in Canada and requests comments in connection with the Aequitas Proposal. The OSC Staff Notice includes questions on Investor Confidence, Market Quality, Segmentation, Market Making and Approach to Developing New Solutions. Comments are due to the OSC by Friday, September 27, 2013.

The GDP flash estimates for the second quarter of 2013 for the euro area and the EU27 have just been released by Eurostat (STAT/13/122). Euro area and EU27 GDP are both up by 0.3% this quarter.

PEGAS: EEX To Launch Quality-Specific Natural Gas Products For Germany

In the framework of the PEGAS Cooperation with its partner Powernext, the European Energy Exchange (EEX) is pleased to announce the introduction of quality-specific products for the German gas market areas on 1 October 2013, to coincide with the start of the new gas year. This step will further simplify trading in control energy on the exchange gas market. The products will be listed on the PEGAS trading platform.

Flash Estimate For The Second Quarter Of 2013 Euro Area And EU27 GDP Both Up By 0.3% -0.7% And -0.2% Respectively Compared With The Second Quarter Of 2012

GDP rose by 0.3% in both the euro area1 (EA17) and the EU27 during the second quarter of 2013, compared with the previous quarter, according to flash estimates published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In the first quarter of 2013, growth rates were -0.3% and -0.1% respectively.

To push forward the building of the domestic platforms for the futures and spot trading of mineral products and promote the sound integration of the futures market and spot market, on August 7, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) and the China Beijing International Mining Exchange (CBMX) signed an agreement of strategic cooperation in Dalian in a bid to deepen the partnership of the two sides.
