SGX Welcomes First Chinese Bank’s RMB Bond Listed And Cleared In Singapore

Singapore Exchange (SGX) today welcomed the first Chinese Bank’s renminbi (RMB) bond to be listed and cleared in Singapore. The RMB bond is issued by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China’s (ICBC) Singapore branch. The bond issue is settled and cleared in RMB via SGX’s Central Depository (CDP).

HKEx Concludes Series Of Events To Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of H shares

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has hosted a banquet in Beijing for about 100 guests to conclude its series of events celebrating the 20th anniversary of H-share listings. The event on Thursday evening (28 November) also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the establishment of HKEx’s Beijing Representative Office.

ICE Trade Vault Europe Advances ICE's Role As A Premier Operator Of Trade Repositories

IntercontinentalExchange Group (NYSE: ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, announced today that the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has approved ICE Trade Vault Europe Limited (ICE Trade Vault Europe) as a Trade Repository (TR) for the reporting of swaps and futures trade data to meet requirements of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).

Dalian Commodity Exchange: Notice On Revising Relevant Rules In The Measures For Information Management

In order to further improve the information disclosure system, after the deliberation and adoption of the board of directors as well as reporting to the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) has revised the relevant provisions in the “Measures of Dalian Commodity Exchange for Information Management” (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules"). The contents of the revision include: changing the disclosed information of non-futures-company members such as transaction and position-holding to the information of the total amount of all the non-futures-company members; in the delivery information, only disclosing the pairing information of the members without announcing the member numbers of the non-futures-company members; no more disclosure of “Hedging Positions”.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange And Ginga Energy Japan Establish Joint Venture Company For Operating OTC Platform

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc (TOCOM) and Ginga Energy Japan Pte. Ltd, announced today the establishment of the Japan OTC Exchange (JOE). This joint venture with Ginga, a Japanese subsidiary of Singapore-based energy broker Ginga Petroleum, will focus on OTC markets for petroleum and products. The new company is capitalized at 10 million yen with the authorized capital at 25 million yen. (Ginga Energy Japan: 60%, TOCOM: 40%).

Canadian Securities Regulators Propose Streamlining Disclosure Requirements For Private Foreign Securities Offerings To Certain Canadian Investors

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published proposed amendments to National Instrument 33-105 Underwriting Conflicts (NI 33-105). The amendments would provide limited exemptions from certain disclosure requirements for offerings of foreign securities in Canada on a private placement basis to permitted clients. Permitted clients are sophisticated, usually institutional, investors. -

ESMA Registers ICE TVEL And CME TR As Trade Repositories

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has approved today the registrations of two further trade repositories (TRs) under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). The following entities have been registered as TRs for the European Union (EU):
- ICE Trade Vault Europe Ltd. (ICE TVEL), based in the United Kingdom; and
- CME Trade Repository Ltd. (CME TR), based in the United Kingdom.
