KDPW Has Ensured Safety And Stability Of Financial Market For 20 Years

It will have been 20 years on 7 November 2014 since Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych (KDPW, the Central Securities Depository of Poland) was established as a stand-alone company with a mission of ensuring safe trading on the capital market. KDPW is responsible for the clearing and settlement of trade on organised and OTC markets. In the last 20 years, KDPW has settled more than 201 million trades worth PLN 86 trillion (which is over 30 times more than this year’s government revenue target).

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has formally approved the certification in the European Union of HR Ratings de México, S.A. de C.V. (HR Ratings), a Mexican credit rating agency (CRA), under Article 16 of the CRA Regulation. The certification takes effect from 7 November 2014.

Upon approval by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) recently releases the “SSE Notice of Relevant Issues of Launching Pilot Business of Private Placement Bonds for Mergers, Acquisitions and Reorganizations” (the “Notice” for short), in a bid to implement requirements in the “Opinions of the State Council on Further Optimizing Market Environment for Enterprises’ Mergers, Acquisitions and Reorganizations” and relevant documents and give full play to the positive role of the capital market in propelling enterprises’ mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations. The SSE’s move marks the official launch of the pilot work for private placement bonds for mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations.
