India outperformed all other emerging market countries within the Russell Emerging Markets Index, with a 4.4% return in the three market days from the May 16 election of Narendra Modi and the conservative Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through May 20. India's 22.5% return year-to-date as of May 20 is among the leading country components within the Russell Emerging Markets Index.

ESMA Adds CC&G And LCH.Clearnet SA To List Of Authorised CCPs Under EMIR

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has updated its list of Central Counterparties (CCPs) that have been authorised to offer services and activities in the Union in accordance with the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation EMIR (EMIR). With the authorisation of CC&G (Italy) and LCH.Clearnet SA (France), there are now six CCPs authorised under EMIR.

LCH.Clearnet S.A. Receives EMIR Authorisation

LCH.Clearnet Group’s French central counterparty (CCP), today announced that it is now authorised under the European Market Infrastructure (EMIR). L’Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), as LCH.Clearnet S.A.’s national competent authority, granted the authorisation on May 22 and also approved the interoperability arrangement with the Italian central counterparty CC&G.

Deutsche Börse: First ETF On FTSE China A50 Index Launched On Xetra - New Source ETF Enables Access To A-Shares Of The 50 Largest Chinese Companies

Since Friday, investors have for the first time been able to participate directly in the performance of the FTSE China A50 Index with the CSOP Source FTSE China A50 UCITS ETF. The index comprises the 50 largest Chinese companies in terms of market capitalisation that are listed with A-shares on the stock exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen. Source launched the ETF together with CSOP Asset Management (Hong Kong). The cooperation with CSOP enables the index to be physically replicated using the Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) quota regulation.
