• The FTSE Singapore Index generated the 4th highest return for associated risk over the past 12 months among a group of 20 of the most relevant FTSE Country Indices.
• This was based on the FTSE Singapore Index generating a 16.0% total return in USD terms over the 12 months ending August, with 9.1% in annualised volatility.
• The return-to-risk ratio of 1.8% of the FTSE Singapore Index compared to an average return-to-risk ratio of 1.4% for the other Asian indices.

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange announced today that average daily trading volume for August was 70,594 contracts, down 7.8% from July. TOCOM’s main commodities saw lower volume: Gold decreased 0.2% to 27,490 contracts, Platinum dropped 20.1% to 15,049 contracts and Rubber was down 7.8% to 7,479 contracts.

IEX Raises $75 Million In Funding To Continue Its Rapid Growth - Funding Led By Spark Capital With Participation From Bain Capital Ventures, Franklin Resources, Inc., Jim Clark, Massmutual Ventures And Steve Wynn

IEX, a rapidly growing equity trading venue dedicated to institutionalizing fairness in the financial markets, announced today it has completed a $75 million round of funding led by Spark Capital. The round included broad participation from a cross-section of investors, including Bain Capital Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, and global investment manager Franklin Resources, Inc. Other participants in this round include private investment firms Cleveland Capital Management and TDF Ventures, and renowned visionaries and entrepreneurs Jim Clark (Netscape) and Steve Wynn (Wynn Resorts). The financing will be used to pursue registration as a U.S. national exchange and to explore other opportunities to leverage IEX's unique brand, capabilities and market position.
