  • Japan’s Financial Services Agency Publishes A Partial English Translation Of The Comprehensive Guidelines For Supervision Of Insurance Companies

    The "Recommendations for Vitalizing Financial and Capital Markets" released by "The Panel for Vitalizing Financial and Capital Markets" on December 13, 2013, recommended that "financial-related laws, ordinances, and guidelines should be translated into English." FSA published today an English translation of “IV. Points of Attention regarding Examination of Insurance Products” contained in the Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Insurance Companies as well as other related parts.

  • Thai Bourse To Launch Funds Fair In December, Focusing On Tax-Benefit Investment

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), together with the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC) and asset management firms, will hold the "Let's save tax and invest for retirement through LTF&RMF" fund fair on during December 18-21 in Bangkok to promote tax-incentive funds,  consisting of  long-term equity funds (LTFs) and retirement mutual fund (RMFs), in order to attract the target groups to higher yields and long-term investment, while beating inflation.

    This circular is being issued to provide notice that, effective December 8, 2014, BATS Exchange, Inc. (“BZX”), BATS Y-Exchange, Inc. (“BYX”), EDGA Exchange, Inc. (“EDGA”) and EDGX Exchange, Inc. (“EDGX”, and together with BZX, BYX and EDGA, the “Exchanges”) will provide a Member acting as a registered Market Maker in a UTP Derivative Security on the Exchanges the flexibility to act or register as a market maker in any currencies, commodities, or any derivatives based on one or more currencies or commodities, or is based on a basket or index comprised of currencies or commodities (collectively, “Reference Assets”) from which a UTP Derivative Security derives its value. Members were previously prohibited from acting as both a Market Maker in a UTP Derivative Security on the Exchanges and in the Reference Asset.
