China Financial Futures Exchange Signs MoU With Moscow Exchange

China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) and Moscow Exchange (MOEX) today announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU aims to strengthen bilateral partnership and facilitate the development of both parties through information sharing, reciprocal visits by senior executives, staff exchange and closer business cooperation in various areas. The MoU was signed by Zheng Hu, CEO of CFFEX and Alexander Afanasiev, CEO of MOEX. Shenfeng Zhang, Chairman of CFFEX and Sergey Shvetsov, First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Russia, also attended the signing ceremony.

UK Financial Conduct Authority To Consult On New Measures For Cash Savings Account Holders

Switching cash savings accounts will become quicker and easier under proposals announced by the FCA today. The FCA will introduce a series of new rules that will force firms to provide clear information on the interest rates on their cash savings products as well as clearly alerting consumers to changes in interest rates or the end of an introductory rate for example.

NYSE And Nasdaq To Increase Resilience Of Closing Auction Process For U.S. Equities

I hope and expect that the Department of Labor will take my views into consideration as it wrestles with this ill-advised rulemaking.

Office Of Financial Research Update - Incorporating Liquidity Shocks And Feedbacks In Bank Stress Tests

The OFR released today a brief, "Incorporating Liquidity Shocks and Feedbacks in Bank Stress Tests." This brief discusses how stress tests could incorporate four types of shocks — credit, funding, liquidity, and collateral values — and shows that shocks can affect regulatory ratios for capital and liquidity simultaneously. Additionally, in times of stress, a bank’s responses to a binding regulatory ratio can spread shocks to other banks.
