  • EBA Reviews Work Of EU Colleges Of Supervisors For Cross-Border Banking Groups

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) today published its annual assessment of EU colleges of Supervisors, responsible for the oversight of cross border banks. The report assesses how colleges have functioned during 2014 and identifies key activities for the effective oversight of EU cross border banking groups in 2015. The report introduces items for supervisory attention in 2015, including conduct risk, Information Technology (IT) risks and the need for effective decisions on recovery plans.

    FIA today published the latest issue of FIA SEF Tracker, a periodic report on trading activity taking place on swap execution facilities. This issue of FIA SEF Tracker includes data from February 2015 for interest rate, credit default and foreign exchange products. This issue also includes a spreadsheet containing the underlying data going back to January 2014.

  • BATS To Launch Second U.S. Options Exchange - Targets November 2015 Launch For EDGX Options

    BATS Global Markets (BATS), a leading operator of exchanges and services for financial markets globally, today filed rules to launch a second options exchange – EDGX Options – with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). BATS, operator of the fastest-growing U.S. options market today, is planning to launch the new exchange in November 2015, pending SEC approval.
