The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today launched the CFTC Whistleblower Program’s new website, www.whistleblower.gov. The new website provides an improved interface that educates the public about the Whistleblower Program and allows users to submit tips about potential violations of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and apply for monetary awards.

Euclid Opportunities invests In Digital Asset Holdings - Strategic Investment Made Through ICAP’s Early Stage Fintech Funding Business

ICAP plc (IAP.L), a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services, announced today that it has invested in Digital Asset Holdings LLC, a developer of Distributed Ledger Technology for the financial services industry. The investment was made through Euclid Opportunities, ICAP’s early stage fintech investment business, and forms part of a funding round that exceeds $50 million from a broad range of leading financial and market infrastructure participants. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

FERC Proposes To Revise Offer Caps In Regional Wholesale Electric Markets

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) today took another step to ensure that price formation in competitive wholesale electricity markets produces just and reasonable rates with a proposal to revise the $1,000 per megawatt-hour (MWh) cap on supply offered in day-ahead and real-time markets run by regional transmission organizations and independent system operators.

Canadian Securities Regulators Seek Comment On Rules Protecting Customer Collateral For Cleared Derivatives

Members of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published for comment Proposed National Instrument 94-102 Derivatives: Customer Clearing and Protection of Customer Positions and Collateral and its companion policy (the proposed instrument) for a 90-day comment period. The proposed instrument sets out requirements for the treatment of customer collateral, record-keeping and disclosure for clearing intermediaries and regulated clearing agencies providing clearing services for over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives.
