The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published today a Consultation Paper (CP) on guidelines regarding the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR) under which ESMA has to develop the implementing details.

US Justice Department Announces Four Banks Reach Resolutions Under Swiss Bank Program

The Department of Justice announced today that Bank J. Safra Sarasin AG (Safra Sarasin), Coutts & Co Ltd (Coutts), Gonet & Cie (Gonet) and Banque Cantonal du Valais (BC Valais) reached resolutions under the department’s Swiss Bank Program.  These banks collectively will pay penalties of more than $178 million.
