That was one of the questions we asked at our inaugural, April 2nd meeting of the Market Risk Advisory Committee. At that meeting, three of our CCPs – CME, LCH and ICE – made presentations about how they are preparing for such a default. These presentations prompted a fruitful discussion and as usual, our MRAC members brought great ideas to the table.

- The average daily value of trade in equities in October 2015 increased by 2.5% year on year (yoy) to PLN 819.9 million and the average daily number of transactions increased by 29.3% year on year to 68.4 thousand
- The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the Main Market decreased by 1.9% year on year to PLN 18.0 billion in October 2015
- The volume of trade in index futures was 335.6 thousand contracts, a decrease of 24.0% yoy
- The total value of trading in equities on NewConnect was more than PLN 1.6 billion in January-October 2015 compared to PLN 1.0 billion in January-October 2014
- The volume of trading in property rights was 3.7 TWh in October 2015, an increase of 26.0% yoy
