EBA: Consultation On Guidelines On Risk Based Supervision

The Joint Committee of the three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA - ESAs) launched today a public consultation on two anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) Guidelines. These Guidelines promote a common understanding of the risk-based approach to AML/CFT and set out how it should be applied by credit and financial institutions and competent authorities across the EU. The documents are part of the Joint Committee’s work to establish consistent and effective, risk-based supervisory practices across the EU.
Lisbon To Host Enternext's Tech Conference

EnterNext, the Euronext subsidiary dedicated to promoting and growing the market for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), today announced that it is holding its first Tech Conference in Lisbon. Dedicated to examining financing options for innovative businesses, the conference will give participants an opportunity to learn more about the tools and initiatives available to tech companies, from start-ups to mid-size businesses.
EBA: Consultation On Guidelines On communication Between Competent Authorities Supervising Credit Institutions And Statutory Auditors

The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a consultation on its draft Guidelines on the communication between competent authorities supervising credit institutions and statutory auditors of those institutions. Effective communication between competent authorities and auditors should contribute to fostering financial stability, safety and soundness of the banking system. The consultation runs until 21 January 2016.
SEC To Hold Annual Government-Business Forum On Small Business Capital Formation On November 19

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it will hold its annual Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation at its Washington D.C. headquarters on Nov. 19, 2015.

LME Pledges Support For China’s ‘The Belt And Road’ Initiative

The London Metal Exchange (LME) and LME Clear signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 21 October 2015 with a group of Chinese and UK financial institutions in support of China’s ‘The Belt and Road’ initiative.

HKEx Proposes To Build “London-Hong Kong Connect”

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), HKFE Clearing Corporation Limited (HKCC), the London Metal Exchange (LME) and LME Clear Limited (LME Clear), subsidiaries of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) and members of the HKEx Group, today signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the proposed development of a trading link between HKFE and the LME and a clearing link between HKCC and LME Clear, to be named “London-Hong Kong Connect”.
