EMCF Appoints Deutsche Bank As Settlement Agent For CEE Markets - New Milestone Signifies Improved Risk Mitigation And Lower Costs Across Region
Europe’s top cash equities central counterparty clearing (CCP) company, EMCF (European Multilateral Clearing Facility), announced today it has appointed Deutsche Bank as settlement agent in Czech, Hungarian and Polish markets. The appointment was driven by Deutsche Bank’s Central and Eastern European (CEE) market knowledge, strong position in the markets and strategy.

Sime Darby Berhad yesterday listed its Ringgit Malaysia Sukuk Programme on Bursa Malaysia with a Combined Master Limit of RM4.5 billion under the Exempt Regime. The Sukuk was structured based on the Islamic principle of Musharakah.

First Overseas ETF Tracking Shenzhen Stock Exchange Index To List In Hong Kong
Today, CICC-SZSE 100 Index Fund (CICC-SZSE 100ETF), the first overseas ETF tracking SZSE index will list on Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with the trading code: 3051. The fund will be managed by CICC Hong Kong Asset Management Company, tracking the SZSE 100 index which is released by the SZSE and managed by Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd..

The CFTC Sanctions Two Canadian Firms $500,000 For Entering Into Unlawful Wash Sales - Calgary-Based Pinemore, L.P. And Birchmore, L.P. Charged With Unlawful Wash Sales Involving The NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today issued an order filing and simultaneously settling charges against Pinemore, L.P. (Pinemore) and Birchmore, L.P. (Birchmore), two Canadian limited partnerships based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, for engaging in unlawful wash sales in the natural gas futures contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) during November and December of 2006.
