Bjørn Øiulfstad has joined Oslo Børs in the newly established position of Projects Director.
A trained lawyer, Mr Øiulfstad has previously been Managing Director of the Norwegian Futures & Options Clearing House (NOS) where he oversaw the creation of IMAREX, the maritime derivatives exchange.
Oslo Børs has recently established a Projects department to provide a support function for all internal departments and the executive management of Oslo Børs. “Projects” will have overall responsibility for setting up and carrying out major projects and research tasks.
Mr Øiulfstad has in recent years been attorney-at-law with the law firm Steenstrup Stordrange DA. He worked on a range of assignments, including assignments related to setting up exchanges for financial fish and energy contracts.
“Bjørn Øiulfstad’s broad based expertise extends across the entire securities chain, and includes spearhead competence in derivatives and settlement. He also has broad experience with projects, and we are very pleased to have him on the team,” says President and CEO Bente A. Landsnes.
Mr Øiulfstad will join Oslo Børs’s senior management, taking up duties in the course of November.
