Financial Development Affaire Department of Futian District of Shenzhen and Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. recently announced to jointly issue Xiangmihu Financial Technology Index (Abbreviation: Financial Technology, Code: 399699), so as to reflect the overall performance of financial technology related companies listed on Shenzhen Market, and to provide more performance benchmark and investment objects to the market. The index takes 26 May 2017 as base day, and 3000 as base point.
Financial Technology Index defines the industry covers fields of distribution technologies (including block chain, cloud computing), internet technology (electronic and network payment, financial security and internet finance (network lending, etc.) According to the statistics, there are currently 71 companies related to financial technology that listed in A-share market. Among these companies, 59 companies listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), with a total market value more than 640 billion yuan. Shenzhen Market has formed a certain scale in financial technology industry, and is thus of high market representation.
With financial technology related enterprises that listed on SZSE as sample, all the stocks that fit into the shortlisted standard were selected as sample stocks for Financial Technology Index. There are 56 sample stocks for the first tranche of sample stocks. The sample stocks will be adjusted regularly on the first trading day of January and July every year.
From the end of December 2011 to the end of May 2017, Financial Technology Index has realized 189.28% accumulative revenue, while CSI 300 Index realizing 48.90%. This statistics indicates that within this period of time, financial technology related listed company has won a wide recognition of the market.
Financial Technology Index was co-developed by Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. and Financial Development Affaire Department of Futian District of Shenzhen. As the first stock index reflecting the development of financial technology industry, Financial Technology Index will establish benchmark of financial technology industry in the capital market in China, will support the booming of financial technology industry, and will provide new channel for the investors to share the growth bonus of financial technology industry.
