World Acceptance Corp. (NASD:WRLD) will replace Salton Inc. (NYSE:SFP) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Monday, May 17, 2004.

As of close of trading on Thursday, May 13, Salton had a market capitalization of approximately $31 million, ranking 600th in the Index. Standard & Poor’s will monitor this transaction, and post any relevant updates on its website: www.standardandpoors.com. World Acceptance, a small loan consumer finance business, offers short-term loans and credit insurance to individuals in 11 states. Headquartered in Greenville, SC, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Consumer Finance Sub-Industry Index.
