WestLB Panmure: New Member Of The Copenhagen Stock Exchange

Date 18/04/2001

WestLB Panmure has become a member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange with effect from 19th April 2001. It is WestLB Panmure's strategy, to be among the leading pan-European investment banking firms. In order to promote this strategy WestLB Panmure entered into a strategic alliance with the Danish investment bank Gudme Raaschou in 1999. The membership of Copenhagen Stock Exchange will further strengthen both companies' joint position in Denmark. The strategic alliance with Gudme Raaschou will continue whereby Gudme Raaschou markets WestLB Panmure's Equity Product to clients in the Nordic region.

WestLB Panmure is a fully integrated, client driven, pan-European provider of equities and investment banking services focussing on growth companies in a number of selected industry sectors. WestLB Panmure forms part of the investment banking activities of the WestLB Group, one of the largest financial institutions in Europe, with total assets of over Euro 400 billion and current ratings of Aa1 by Moody's, AA+ by S&P and AAA by IBCA.

Commenting on the new member, President and CEO Hans-Ole Jochumsen said: "We are pleased to welcome WestLB Panmure as the sixth new exchange member this year. Yet another major player in the international financial markets has thus decided to join the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The positive increase in the number of members shows us that the continuous development of the Danish equity market, including the opening of the KVX Growth Market, is appreciated by traders as well as investors - even though the financial markets in general are in decline.
