The special internet service devoted to foreign companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, www.wseinternational.eu was launched by the WSE on Monday 17 December.
The portal aims to introduce investors to foreign companies listed on the WSE. The service is addressed to all stock exchange investors: Polish and foreign, individual and professional.
Users will get access to corporate news, stock prices, market indices, charts, comments by leading analysts. As of January 2008, the service will feature news reported by information agencies and analytical reports from a specialised company of international standing.
The website www.wseinternational.eu is published in Polish and English.
The service will also benefit the companies and foster investor interest in their stocks thanks to a section featuring extensive company profiles.
The number of foreign companies listed on the WSE is growing. Eleven foreign companies have entered the WSE this year. UniCredit shares will make a debut later this week, growing the number of foreign companies traded on the WSE to 23 companies.

Eleven foreign companies have made a debut on the WSE this year, including first companies from Estonia (Olympic Entertainment Group and Silvano Fashion Group), Sweden (Reinhold Polska) and Spain (ACE), a company listed on the London Stock Exchange main market – Plaza Centers, and another Ukrainian company – Kernel Holding. The offers of the foreign entrants have totalled over PLN 13 billion (including PLN 10.7 billion of Immoeast’s international offer).
Over the past year, the WSE has upgraded its internet service at www.wse.com.pl to make it more user friendly and to facilitate navigation. The WSE service relies on three centres which give their target groups easy and fast access to information: the Investor Centre, the IPO Centre, and the Education Centre.
In addition to the website www.wse.com.pl, the WSE has opened information services with content unique in Poland and in the CEE:- The information service WSEInfoSpace at www.wseinfospace.eu was launched on 9 May. It is the first website to offer comprehensive information on WSE listed companies on a single platform.
- Following the launch of NewConnect, the market’s website at www.newconnect.eu was expanded. It provides investors with online prices, corporate reports, information documents, NewConnect statistics and regulations.
- The Internet service devoted to corporate governance of WSE listed companies was launched at http://www.gpw.pl/gpw.asp?cel=e_spolki&k=6&i=/corporate/listy_prezesa&sky=1 in October 2007. The service features the text of “Good Practices…”, the history of corporate governance in Poland and information about corporate governance events.
