Warsaw Stock Exchange: "db Magic Three II" – A Newcomer On The Exchange Issued By Deutsche Bank

20 August was the first day of trading of the structured note "db Magic Three II" on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It is the next product for individual investors issued by the London branch of Deutsche Bank AG.

The introduction by Deutsche Bank of structured products on the Polish stock exchange, whose value is dependent on one or more asset class, is a further development of the bank’s strategy. It aims to offer clients across the world the most innovative solutions and financial services. The mature and fully developed structured products’ market in Europe in the individual investor space encompasses products that are based on equities, foreign exchange, interest rate and commodities.

In Poland, individual investors have access mainly to structured products in the form of deposits, funds and insurance wrapped products. For the last year, there exists the opportunity to invest in the most popular form of structured products, i.e. structured notes. The first structured note “db Magic Three”, was issued by Deutsche Bank in July 2006 (the note was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange exactly a month later). The success of this issue has underlined investors’ interest in these products and responding to clients’ demand, Deutsche Bank has launched a follow-up note – “db Magic Three II”.

This is a three year structured note that gives the opportunity to automatically participate in the best return of one of three different portfolios.. Each portfolio is composed of four asset classes: equity, European real estate market, commodities and the Polish money market (based on the Wibor rate). The average of the best performing portfolio is paid out to the investor at maturity.

Deutsche Bank AG, London is the issuer of the note, the coordinator of the offer was Dom Maklerski PKO BP and DB Securities SA. was part of the consortium. The note will be issued in accordance with the Base Prospectus accepted by the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht in Germany.
