Further to a resolution of the WSE Management Board passed on 21 September 2007 , the standards of WSE traded exchange rate futures will be changed starting from the 28 September 2007 session. The resolution is aimed at increasing the liquidity of the USD and EUR futures contracts.
As of 28 September 2007, the following changes will take effect:- delivery months - four subsequent months of the March quarterly cycle (March, June, September, December).
- expiry date - the same date as the last trading day (the third Friday of the delivery month).
- first trading day of a new series - the first trading day following expiry of the previous contract.
In addition, the WSE has lowered transaction fees charged on exchange rate futures contracts to zero zlotys, effective from 1 October 2007 to 30 June 2008.
