With the beginning of this week , the 19th year of the VÖNIX-VBV-Austrian Sustainability Index, one of the first national sustainability indices worldwide, started. As of today's trading day, Oberbank AG was newly included in the sustainability benchmark, while Burgenland Holding AG was removed from the index. This was announced by rfu, VBV-Vorsorgekasse and the Vienna Stock Exchange after the annual review according to the rules and regulations. The index now comprises 20 members and represents domestic listed companies that stand out with their activities in corporate sustainability.

"Oberbank AG has been on a good ESG development path for several years now. Not least, the reporting and the further expanded sustainable product policy with e.g. green savings and giro products have caused the rating to rise above the VÖNIX inclusion threshold for the first time," says Reinhard Friesenbichler, Managing Director at rfu, which carries out the sustainability rating.

The VÖNIX reflects the sustainability efforts of top domestic companies. The VBV Austrian Sustainability Index (VÖNIX) is a price index weighted by free float capitalization. The base universe comprises shares listed on the prime or standard market of the Vienna Stock Exchange with sufficient free float and trading volume.
