Update In Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange CI Component Stocks

The Index Sub-Committee of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) in its regular review of the KLSE Composite Index (KLSE CI) has decided to release five companies as component stocks of the KLSE CI effective Monday, 12 May 2003.

The companies to be released are :

The Index Sub-Committee included the five companies as component stocks of KLSE CI based on the selection criteria which take into account, among others, the following factors :

  • Market Capitalisation
  • Business Activities
  • Trading Volume
The Index Sub-Committee comprises independent industry representatives from asset management, accounting, unit trust management and listed companies, research divisions of organisations, institutions of higher learning and a representative of the KLSE.

The KLSE CI, made up of 100 component stocks listed on the Main Board of the Exchange, among others generally reflect developments and changes in the business sectors of the national economy represented on the Exchange.
