Cantor Fitzgerald Debt Capital Markets has established a new Structured Products Group, and announced that two highly experienced structured securities professionals, Gina Hubbell and Edward LaScala, have joined the group.
Irvin Goldman, CEO and President of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., said, “Cantor Fitzgerald’s Debt Capital Markets team is committed to the fundamental principle of building and sustaining strong client relationships as the basis for meeting each client’s evolving needs. Gina’s and Ed’s extensive experience in structured finance, their market insight, and their emphasis on building superior client relationships, are a natural fit with our firm’s culture and focus on excellence in client service.” He added, “The creation of the Structured Products Group underscores Cantor Fitzgerald’s continuing emphasis on augmenting our product origination and client service capabilities. I am extremely confident that as Gina and Ed work with our traders and salespeople, we have a tremendous opportunity to generate additional value-added products and transactions for our clients.”
Ms. Hubbell said, “On behalf of Ed and myself, we are excited to be joining one of the market’s leading fixed income dealers. Ms. Hubbell, who will head the Structured Products Group and report to Mr. Goldman, previously ran the UBS Credit CDO Group. Earlier, she was responsible for Fixed Income Product Development and Structuring at Credit Suisse First Boston. Ms. Hubbell received a B.A. degree from Stanford University and a J.D. from Northwestern University, and is active in several professional and community organizations.
Mr. LaScala previously served as head of Debt Syndicate at HSBC and head of Syndicate and Debt Capital Markets at Societe Generale and DLJ. Mr. LaScala received a B.S. degree from Alfred University and an MBA from Clarkson University.
