TSX Group CEO Richard Nesbitt and the President of Natural Gas Exchange, Peter Krenkel, will be giving remarks at the upcoming Energy Roundtable in Calgary, September 25 and 26, 2006.
Mr. Nesbitt’s focus at a dinner Monday night will be on Canada’s role as an emerging energy superpower. More energy companies are listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange than on any other exchange group in the world. As of the end of July, 430 energy companies are listed with a market cap of $553 billion.
On Tuesday, Peter Krenkel will be on a Natural Gas panel. The Energy Roundtable was formed in 2004 to facilitate foreign investment into Canadian energy markets. The 2006 event will gather senior political officials with Presidents and Chief Executives from more than 40 major energy companies for discussions on the infrastructure investments required to capitalize on Western Canadian energy reserves; investments that are central to Canada’s quest to become an energy superpower.
