Deutsche Börse and the specialists working on the Frankfurt trading floor will give the transaction and trading fees earned on the Börse Frankfurt venue on Saint Nicholas Day (6 December) to two charities. The Trading Charity event is being organised by the exchange operator and the total of eleven trading firms to raise funds in support of two Frankfurt charities “Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V.” (children's cancer society) and “Frankfurter Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von Tumorerkrankungen (FFBT) e.V.” (tumour patient support society).
Investors trading equities, bonds, funds, ETFs and further exchange traded products on Börse Frankfurt on this day will automatically be helping both organisations. The specialists are donating their trading fees to the “Frankfurter Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von Tumorerkrankungen (FFBT) e. V.”, which provides aids for treatments and support of the region's cancer patients. Deutsche Börse will donate its trading proceeds to the “Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V.”, which works to improve the conditions of young patients and their families in inpatient and outpatient areas of the children's cancer clinic in Frankfurt.
Hauke Stars, Deutsche Börse Executive Board member, commented, “We are pleased to join forces with the specialists to support two Frankfurt organisations that provide aid to people in very distressing situations in life and offer them day-to-day support. At the same time, we would like to recognise the work of the many volunteers with our donation – neither organisation would be able to fulfil its mission without them.”
The funds raised will be presented to the two charities at 9.00 a.m. 15 December on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange trading floor.
