The New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®), the world’s leading “soft” commodity exchange, tallied up sizeable volume gains during August, with 3,807,485 total contracts trading during the month, 20% higher than August 2005. The year-to-date [YTD]) volume was 30,557,249 futures and options contracts, a 25% increase over the same period from 2005.
