After a successful introduction of equity options, as of today, TOM is offering trading in options based on the value of the AEX index1.
As of today every client connected to TOM can start trading TOM MTF options based on the value of the AEX index. TOM’s Smart Order Router compares prices between markets, faster than the blink of an eye. The client’s order is executed at the trading venue showing the best available price at that moment. TOM has established a substantial market share of 20% in equity options trading in the Dutch market. TOM is targeting a market share of 30% to 40% in 2013. TOM was founded as an alternative trading venue in The Netherlands and aims to enhance competition between markets.
