On April 14, 2011, Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) was again recognised as the Exchange in the Asia-Pacific region with the largest number of primary listed ETF products at the Annual Global ETF Awards. This is the seventh consecutive time that TSE has won this award which is given by U.S. ETF research firm "Exchangetradedfunds.com" in recognition of activity in and contribution to the ETF market.
Since the first ETF was listed on the TSE market in 1995, TSE has constantly strived to diversify its product lineup to develop a more attractive market. As a result, the ETF market has grown rapidly from 13 at the end of 2007 to reach its current figure of 101.
Our commitment to the ETF market is exhibited in our Medium-Term Management Plan (FY2011-FY2013) (announced on March 22, 2011) where expanding the ETF market is included as one of the core strategies. TSE will strive to build upon this accolade and further develop the ETF market to improve its convenience for all investors.
