On July 26, 2007, ITO EN, LTD. (First Section, Code 2593: hereinafter the “Company”) announced that it will issue shares of preferred stock (Code 25935) to all shareholders at a rate of 0.3 shares of preferred stock per 1 share of common stock with a base date of August 31, 2007.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange will calculate TOPIX and its sub-indices according to the following method on the ex-rights date (August 28, 2007)
1. Handling of price and the number of listed shares of the Company used for index calculation on the ex-rights date

(*1)? After the beginning of trading of the Company’s common stock on this day, handling of the price used for index calculation will be the same as normal, i.e. once an execution of the Company’s common stock is completed (including special quotes), the price used for index calculation from that point forward will be the relevant contract price or special quote price.
(*2)?Base Market Value (BMV) is adjusted by the number of listed shares added after close of trading on August 27, 2007.
