Tokyo Stock Exchange Approves Listing Of The ABF PAN ASIA BOND INDEX FUND (PAIF), The First Bond-Index ETF In JAPAN

The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) has today approved the listing of the ABF PAN ASIA BOND INDEX FUND (PAIF), ETF managed by State Street Global Advisors Singapore Limited. Scheduled to be listed on Friday, June 19, 2009, this will be the very first ETF tracking bond-index on the TSE.

The ABF PAN ASIA BOND INDEX FUND (PAIF) tracks the iBoxx ABF Pan-Asia Index - designed to measure the performance of government and quasi-government bonds in 8 Asian markets-CHINA, HONG KONG, INDONESIA, KOREA, MALAYSIA, PHILIPPINES, SINGAPORE, THAILAND.
