At the 14th Board of Directors meeting held on October 19, 2010, the board members decided to suspend the White Soft Refined Sugar futures contract from January 1, 2011.
The White Soft Refined Sugar futures contract was launched in 1952 and presently it only provides price quotes. With the implementation of the NASDAQ OMX trading platform this spring (January 4, 2011) the Tokyo Grain Exchange Inc. will suspend the White Soft Refined Sugar futures contract.
