At the 21th Board of Director’s meeting held on November 14, 2008, the Board decided to move trading for non-GMO Soybeans futures from the call session (Itayose) to the continuous electronic trading platform beginning from January 5, 2009*.
In parallel with this migration, TGE will expand the trading hours for Azuki (red bean) futures in order to augment trade opportunities for market participants to a total of six sessions (3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon).
*January 5, 2009 is the first trading day of the 2009 calendar year thus trading will only take place in the morning. For products traded on call session (Itayose), trading starts from 9:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am. For those products traded through continuous electronic trading platform, the trading hours are 9:00am?11:00 am. From January 6th, full day trading will take place.
