“Krisada reassures rubber farmer that Government will not reuse left over rubber stockpile for fear of exacerbating rubber price slump”
7/9/2018- Mr. Krisada Boonrach, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives strongly dismissed the rumor that Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) will release the remains of Grade 3 smoked rubber sheet to the market, such rumor was absolutely untrue and still puzzle over the motive of ill-intended people who spread such false news.
The Agriculture Minister added that he had instructed authority to refrain from adopting market intervention measure and rubber pledging scheme which would further drive down rubber price amidst rubber price instability. The Minister further elaborated that for the remedial measure to alleviate rubber farmers hardship, the Government will try to empower rubber farmer with supplementary occupation to elevate their income and livelihood instead of choosing market intervention measure.
