In contrast with the current stream of 24-hour trading observed at exchanges around the world in response to global competition, the current trading hours of TOCOM are limited from 9:00 to 11:00 and 12:30 to 15:30 (JST).
To resolve this issue, the Board of Directors decided at the meeting held today (September 19, 2007) to implement a 2-hour extension of our trading hours, with a closing time at 17:30 instead of 15:30, on and after January 7th, 2008.
