Today, Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) providers will join officials from TMX Group to open trading on Toronto Stock Exchange in celebration of the launch of a new ETF information portal on TMXmoney.com.
TMXmoney.com is TMX Group's comprehensive financial information website; the new portal provides in-depth information on ETFs, including basic education, trading strategies and resources for investors and stakeholders. "ETFs have become an increasingly popular method of investing," said Eric Sinclair, Senior Vice President, TMX Datalinx. "Our new ETF portal is designed to provide easy access to a wealth of ETF facts, data and insight for the Canadian investing public."
There are currently 90 Exchange Traded Products (ETFs and Exchange Traded Notes) listed on Toronto Stock Exchange.
The new portal is available on TMXmoney.com, under the section "Sectors & ETFs".
For Market Openings: Media may pick up a feed from the TOC (television operations centre) for all market open ceremonies. The feed is named TSX Transmit 2 and is produced at the TMX Broadcast Centre and sent live to the TOC. Those featured in the market opening move into position for the market open ceremony at approximately 9:27 a.m. and the markets will open with the sound of a siren (the traditional market open on Toronto Stock Exchange) at 9:30 a.m.
