TMX Group Limited today announced October 2015 trading statistics for its marketplaces – Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, TMX Select, TSX Alpha Exchange (Alpha), Montréal Exchange (MX) and NGX.
In September 2015, TMX Group implemented significant changes to its equity offerings designed to improve the Canadian trading landscape and reduce market complexity. Effective September 21, 2015, Alpha introduced a transformative new trading model, which included a new set of trading rules and a new pricing schedule. Alpha now operates as an unprotected market under the Order Protection Rule. As part of TMX Group's changes, TMX Select ceased operation at the close of business September 18, 2015.
NGX established a new single-day energy volume record of 220,132 Terajoules on October 15, 2015.
