TMX Group Limited today announced July 2015 trading statistics for its marketplaces – Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, TMX Select, Alpha, Montreal Exchange (MX) and NGX.
MX set an overall daily volume record of 1,290,421 contracts traded on July 20, surpassing the previous record of 846,803 contracts established on November 24, 2014. In addition, MX reached a new daily volume record for Options on Exchange-Traded Funds with 1,016,758 contracts traded on July 20, surpassing the previous record of 460,306 contracts established on May 20, 2015. MX also reached a new overall open interest record on July 31, 2015 of 6,171,554 contracts.
