TheCityUK Comments On Relaunch Of Financial Services Trade & Investment Board

TheCityUK has commented on the relaunch of the Financial Services Trade & Investment Board (FSTIB), announced by Chancellor George Osborne.

“We are pleased that HM Treasury has restated its commitment to the Financial Services Trade & Investment Board (FSTIB) and announced such an esteemed panel of members.  It is real evidence of the strong support for the industry from the Government.  TheCityUK will work hard to represent UK-based financial services in our continuing role as the industry’s representative on FSTIB.

“FSTIB has made substantial progress in its efforts to promote the competitiveness of the UK’s financial services industry over the past two years.  Many parts of the world are seeking to grow their financial services industry, so we will have to focus on sustaining the City’s position as the pre-eminent international financial centre.  This can only be achieved by the Government and industry working closely together and FSTIB is the ideal vehicle to make that happen.
