On 8 February 2008, the Warsaw Stock Exchange submitted its bid to acquire a 64.15 per cent share in the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The move falls in-line with the WSE's strategy of active participation in the creation of a financial hub in Central and Eastern Europe through relations with foreign partners, with benefits for the capital markets in the region.
