On December 16th, 2008 the Securities and Stock Market State Commission of the Ukraine (the state regulator) granted the Ukrainian Exchange a license authorizing it to act as the organizer of exchange trading.
Trading on the Ukrainian Exchange is scheduled to be opened in the first quarter of 2009. The market participants will be able to trade in most liquid local stocks on the Order-Driven market, i.e. in the anonymous order book with 100% advance depositing of assets and DVP settlement.
