The Spanish Exchange Trades 74 New Warrants Issued By Bankinter - More Than 7.000 Warrants Admitted To Trading In 2007, Up 72% On 2006

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 74 new warrants issued by Bankinter. The new issues are linked to Spanish shares and the IBEX 35 INDEX.

The 60 warrants on Spanish shares are linked to BBVA, Repsol, Santander and Telefónica’s shares. Among the issues are call and put warrants. As for the IBEX 35 index, 14 warrants were issued of which 7 are call warrants and 7 put.

Their expiry dates are in March, June and September 2007. They are all European style, that is, they are exercised automatically on the expiry date.

The number of warrants and certificates admitted to trading in 2007 amounts to 7,007, up 72% on the 4,065 admitted in 2006.
