The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 32 new warrants issued by La Caixa. The new issues are linked to a wide range of underlying assets, including domestic and foreign shares, domestic indices and exchange rates.
As to exchange rates, 10 warrants were issued, 4 of which correspond to the Euro / Dollar and 6 on the euro / pound sterling.
As regards the warrants on domestic shares, 11 warrants were issued on the following underlying assets: Telefónica, Repsol and Popular.
As regards foreign shares, 6 warrants were issued on Deutsche Telekom.
As to indices, 1 warrant was issued on the IBEX 35® and 4 on the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50.
Among the issues are call and put warrants and their expiry dates are in June 2007. They are all American style, that is, they are exercised automatically on the expiry date.
