The Spanish Exchange Trades 174 New Warrants - The Number Of Trades And The Value Of Trading Reached A Record High On February 7th

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 173 new warrants issued by BNP Paribas and 1 by BBVA Banco de Financiación. The incorporation of these warrants bring the total to 3,295, of which 687 were listed during 2007.

On February 7th, the value of warrants trading on the market reached € 25.7 million on 4,080 trades, both these references representing record highs in the history of this market.

BBVA Banco de Financiación issued 1 Asian call warrant on a basket of indices whose expiry date is November 2011.

BNP Paribas’s 173 warrants are linked to such underlying assets as Spanish and foreign shares and indices as well as exchange rates and commodities.

77 warrants were issued on Spanish shares linked to the following underlying assets: Acciona, Altadis Banco Popular, Bankinter, BBVA, Endesa, Gamesa, Iberdrola, Iberia, Inditex, Indra, Repsol, Sacyr Vallehermoso, SCH, Aguas de Barcelona, Sogecable and Telefónica.

56 warrants were issued on foreign shares linked to the following underlying assets: Alcatel-Lucent, Apple, Cisco Systems, Deutsche Telekom, EADS, France Telecom, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Nokia and Total.

As regards indices, 8 warrants were issued on the IBEX 35®, 4 on the international Nikkei, 5 on the Standard & Poor’s 500 and 4 on the DJ Euro Stoxx 50.

With regards to exchange rates, 9 warrants were issued on the euro / dollar, of which 5 are call warrants and 4 put.

Lastly, 10 warrants were issued on commodities, 6 on the Brent future and 4 on the Gold ounce.
