The Saudi Stock Exchange Performance Report – October 2017

At the end of October 2017 Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at 6,934.37 points, decreased by 348.64 points 4.79% over the close of  the  previous  month. 

Highest close level for the index during the month was 7,285.75 point  on  04/10/2017.

Total equity market capitalization at the end of October 2017 reached SAR 1,645.64  billion (US$  438.84 billion), decreasing  by 4.39%  over  the close of  the  previous  month.

The total value of shares traded for the   month of October 2017 reached SAR 66.56 billion (US$ 17.75 billion), increasing by 32.67% over the previous month.

The total number of shares traded* reached 3.09 billion shares during the month of October 2017 compared to 2.05 billion shares traded for the previous month, an increase of   51.08%.

The total number of transactions executed during October 2017 reached 1.74 million compared to 1.18 million trades for the month of  September  2017,  an increase of  46.72%.

 Number of  trading days during  October  2017  were  23 and also  16  trading days  during  September  2017.
