The total value of shares traded for the month ending 31 March 2016 amounted to SAR 131.20 billion, increasing by 7.55% over the previous month; while total stock market capitalization reached SAR 1,437.29* billion at the end of this period, increasing by 2.55% over the previous month.
- The total value of shares purchased by "Saudi Investors" during this period amounted to SAR 125.81 billion representing 95.89% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 125.68 billion representing 95.79% of total selling activity. Total ownership of "Saudi Investors" stood at 93.01% of total market capitalization as of 31 March 2016, representing a decrease of 0.24% from the previous month.
- The total value of shares purchased by "GCC Investors" during this period amounted to SAR 2.20 billion representing 1.68% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 2.02 billion representing 1.54% of total selling activity. Total ownership of "GCC Investors" stood at 2.57% of total market capitalization as of 31 March 2016, representing an increase of 0.14% from the previous month.
- The total value of shares purchased by "Foreign Investors" during this period amounted to SAR 3.19 billion representing 2.43% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 3.51 billion representing 2.67% of total selling activity. Total ownership of "Foreign Investors" stood at 4.43% of total market capitalization as of 31 March 2016, representing an increase of 0.11% from the previous month.
- Holding value of an acquisition (SAR 338,232,500) was not deposited as on 31 March.
