The Options Industry Council will be offering free seminars on Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 1800 Market Street.
Kurt Howell, business development manager of options for the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX), will lead the seminar.
The first session on March 13 will focus on basic options trading including options terminology and mechanics, buying calls and puts, covered calls and collars, options symbology and LEAPS®.
The seminar on Wednesday, March 14, will focus on advanced options for experienced investors. There will be a discussion of options valuation and its importance in establishing performance expectations. The presentation will explore bullish strategies for the experienced options user and compares call buying, put selling, and spreads. It will also explore the LEAPS® buy-write strategy and examine position management strategies including rolls and repairs.
