In October, TSX welcomed Nexa Resources S.A. (TSX: NEXA) with a $732 million IPO, marking the largest mining IPO in the world this year. Nexa is based in Brazil and is a subsidiary of Votorantim S.A.
We have seen a significant increase in new mining listings in 2017, including IPOs from Titan Mining Corporation (TSX: TI) and Ero Copper Corp. (TSX: ERO), which also occurred on TSX in October. Year to date, TSX and TSXV have had 51 new mining listings, a 113% increase over YTD October 2016, with a total of $7.0 billion raised by TSX and TSXV mining issuers YTD October 2017.
