Thai investors can now trade Thai derivatives through iPhones, using the Settrade Streaming application of SET subsidiary Settrade.com. Providing Settrade Streaming will offer investors more convenience to trade equities and derivatives in Thai stock market, thus promoting market liquidity.
Internet trading has been growing steadily, especially in derivatives. During the past 11 months (Jan. – Nov. 2010), such trading of derivatives accounted for 25.79% of total trading value in the market, increasing from 21.19% in 2009, SET Chief Marketing Officer Pakorn Peetathawatchai revealed.
“In November 2010, on average, 2,666 investors traded securities via iPhones, which represents 79.59% of all mobile traders. Settrade Streaming not only provides easy access to stock and derivatives trading, but also an information channel they can use to keep abreast with market developments quickly. Investors can now trade stocks and derivatives anytime, anywhere, and this will help enlarge the investor base for SET and the derivatives market.” said Mr. Pakorn.
Settrade Streaming for iPhone was developed to serve multi-market trading, as investors will be able to send their orders for either stocks or derivatives via a single program. Multi-account portfolio management will help investors with more than one trading account to better manage and keep track of their stocks or derivatives. Using this software, following real-time movement of these securities, including SET50 Index futures, SET50 Index options, gold futures, stock futures, and interest rate futures will be made easier. Graphic comparison is conveniently at hand. Moreover, Settrade Streaming is perfectly compatible with iPhone’s one-touch feature, enabling quick execution and browsing with sliding or rotating the screen. This new version of Settrade Streaming is available for iPhone with Firmware 3 or higher, including iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4G, and iPod Touch.
